Powercare Service Plan
At PowerDirect.co.uk, we want to ensure that you have many years of hassle free enjoyment from your products. After the initial 12 Months Manufacturer’s Guarantee, you can avoid costly repairs
and call-out charges by taking advantage of our low cost POWERCARE SERVICE PLAN. You can choose between a 3 Year Plan or a 5 Year Plan.
Our PowerCare Service Plan includes:
Product Breakdown - Complete mechanical and electrical breakdown cover from date of purchase.
Unlimited Repairs – No matter how many times your product develops a mechanical or electrical fault during the period of cover we will repair it free of charge.
New for Old Replacement – If we cannot repair your product or is deemed to be beyond economical repair, we will replace it with an equivalent product.
Nothing to pay and no call-out charges – The service plan covers the full cost of all repairs including parts, labour, service call-outs and VAT.
No Excess to pay – unlike some insurance schemes the service plan does not incorporate any excess charges.
Up to 5Years peace of mind – choose between our 3 Year or 5 Year service plans.

When can I purchase the Service Plan?
The simplest way to purchase one of our Service Plans is when you buy your new product (you will be given the options during the check-out process) however you can still take out the plan within
30 days of purchase by simply phoning our sales support team on 08444 818 820 and making a payment on your credit or debit card.
Can I purchase the Service Plan for products that I have bought elsewhere?
Yes - you can still purchase on of our Service Plans even for products that you may have purchased from another retailer. All we ask is that you do so within 30 days of purchase by phoning our
sales and support team on 08444 818 820. Please have your product details handy including the make and model code of the product you wish to cover.
Is my product still covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee?
Manufacturer’s guarantee only covers cost of parts and labour for the first 12months of your purchase after which you are on your own unless you have purchased one of our service plans. High
technology products like LED, LCD, Plasma TV’s, digital products and technology driven Domestic Appliances require specialist manufacturer appointed technicians to service your products. Typical
costs of a single repair and call-out charges can easily be in excess of £100 every time.
Am I not covered by my home contents insurance?
Your home contents insurance will only cover you for accidental damage, fire damage or theft of your product. It will not cover you for mechanical or electrical breakdown of your product.
Can I cancel my service plan?
You can cancel your cover anytime within 45 days from purchase for a full refund provided you have not made a claim under the plan.
When will my service plan end?
Your service plan will continue for the period of your cover regardless of how many repairs or call-outs are made on your product. However, if we replace your product with a new one, the plan will
end at that time. You will have the option to purchase a new plan for the replacement product.
Are my personal details safe?
All details provided by you will be processed by us or our agents in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, for the purpose of providing cover and handling claims. We may
share this information with third parties as part of this process.
Your service plan covers cost of all parts, labour and call-out when your product suffers from a mechanical or electrical breakdown however excludes the following:
- Use other than normal domestic use
- Cosmetic damage and damage to accessories
- Deliberate misuse, damage or neglect of the product
- Damage caused by flood, extreme weather, problems with your electrical supply or substances entering your product
- Accidental damage to your product
- Routine inspection, maintenance and adjustment or tuning of your product
- Remote controls and other accessories provided with your product
- Consumables or anything that needs to be regularly replaced
- Call out charges where no fault is found with your product or instances where the product is not covered by the Service Plan
- Any costs or repairs not authorised by us
- Works which relates to a manufacturer recall or repair
